Gleðilega páska
Það eru nú ekki til nein páskalög, amk hef ég aldrei orðið var við þau, og fáir virðast gera sér far um semja lög um þessa hátíð (ef frá er talin messumúsík). The Residents sungu þó um Páskakonuna sem fer með fólk í handanheima.
Ésú er nú samt vinsælt viðfangsefni og oft á tíðum þreytandi. Enginn nema Tom Waits hefur þó sungið um súkkulaðiésú og þar sem margir háma í sig súkkulaði á páskum hlýtur það að fanga páskastemmninguna vel.
Happy Easter
There aren’t any Easter songs that I know of and not many people seem to care to write some (ok, maybe there are some hymns about the suffering of JC). The Residents did however write a song about the Easter Woman, who takes people with her to the afterlife.
Jesus is a popular subject in songs and often very tiresome. Only Tom Waits has sung about a Chocolate Jesus. Many people spend easter eating huge amounts of chocolate so the song must catch the spirit of Easter.
